Retail Assistant Store Manager

As an assistant manager you are truly a partner with your store manager in leading the store team on a daily basis and more importantly ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will have direct responsibilities for several areas of the store such as receiving and freight movement, outdoor displays and front end controls to name a few. Best of all you will complete a training program that will not only help you be successful in your assignment as an assistant manager but will also help prepare you for future opportunities that will be available as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities:

•Serves as part of store management team.
•Provide leadership & direction to team, especially in absence of Store Manager.
•Execute given direction of Store Manager.
•Achieve store sales & profit plans.
•Effectively coordinate store operating activities.
•Manage operating expenses and control shrink of 15-16,000 sku count.
•Spend a majority of time in operation serving customers and team.

Qualifications:

•Retail management expereience.
•Hard lines retailing preferred.
•Exposure to P&L, scheduling and payroll activities.
•Shrink control.
•Sales initiatives.
•Product merchandising.
•Demonstrated employee supervision experience.
•Candidates with ag background and/or college degree are strongly encouraged to apply.
